Speech Of SWAMI VIVEKANAND in the PEACE conference held in AMERICA.

“My brothers and sisters of America..........”

“The religion does not teach us to hate, it does not create division amongst human beings.
It brings hearts together only those who don’t understand the soul of the religion think and believe otherwise.
It is a slur in the name of a religion. Religion is beyond controversy.
It is based on love, brotherhood, compassion, sympathy, mercy and mutual respect.
Man has taken birth to create...to create with love.
It is not a weapon of destruction; it is not for expansion by force.
It does not teach to create wars.
Keep the religion away at a safe distance from violence and confrontation.
Otherwise human race will go astray and coming generations might fall in the dark hole of mistrust instead of progressing towards the light.
The religion teaches to live and let live........”

After delivering about Religion and peace he was quiet for a while..!!
Then he again started with what aim he was there and what he represents is...!!

“I represent SANATAN HINDUISM.
The religion of the land across the seas dares to work for the material and spiritual upliftment of the entire human race.
Our basic value is good of every human being; our religion is the most ancient, mature, seasoned, and generous.
There is no place for negatism and narrow thinking in it........”

He described the religion that he represented and what that religion believed in...!!

“We don’t believe in conquering land, we believe in winning heart, we go hungry but we give food to others.
Our religion teaches understanding, mutual respect and brotherhood amongst all, not wars and conversions; our thoughts generate love, understanding and peace to bring all human beings together.
The essence of Vedic wisdom is the spirit of co-existence.......”

I wrote this to remind myself and others that we are Indians and what our religion teaches us which most of us have forgotten..!
What we must do to represent the religion which we belong...!!
This speech was being said to me by my dad when I was in 7th standard.
I was taking South Indian food by a road side seller.
Then a beggar having only hand and suffering from what disease I don’t know about it.
Came and asked for the food which I was having and as a human attitude i.e. the selfish attitude trying to ignore it moved away from there and did it so that nobody notices me but what was I knowing that my dad was just observing me from far and in the evening at house he did read out the this speech to me but being a teenager the words are like just entering from one ear and going out with other without interpretation of brain...!!
I didn’t understand the meaning of it then but today when i read it in the book I understood its importance and from now i will try to do what our religion wants me to do.
I will do my part of job.
Will you also do your part of job in this field and improve the human race...!?
